We're supporting an awared winning EdTech scaleup, looking for a passionate QA Lead Engineer to elevate their entire testing function.

If you're excited by hands‑on testing, introducing modern automation, and setting the benchmark for quality across multiple development teams, this role offers genuine influence and impact.

What you'll be doing

Lead hands‑on manual testing across a varied digital portfolio
Build and mature testing processes, frameworks, and standards
Introduce automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright)
Mentor a Senior Assurance Engineer and collaborate closely with developers, BAs and PMs
Own test planning, test cases, documentation and reporting
Drive adoption of best‑practice QA in an organisation that values improvement

What you'll bring

Strong manual testing background
Experience with automated testing tools
Skilled in test planning and Azure DevOps
Prior team leadership or mentoring experience
A desire to improve, modernise and shape QA processes
5+ years in a test / QA role
